$Florida Budget Guide
Understand the change. Know your next step.

Explain my Florida bill or renewal

Compare two documents using your own figures. See the charge-by-charge difference, what is still unknown, and the questions to send to your provider.

Your documents are the evidence.Use a bill or renewal you have actually received. Enter charge lines, not personal identifiers. Figures stay in this page unless you choose local saving or download a report. This tool does not contact providers, read accounts, retrieve rates or determine insurance suitability.

Open both original documents. Copy each charge once. Blank is unknown; use 0 only after confirming no charge applies. Amounts are USD, with at most two decimal places.

Saving is optional and not a cloud backup. A shared-device user can see saved labels and figures. Clearing removes only this checker's data.

Where do I find the figures?

For electricity, use the electric service section, billing-period dates, kWh and reading type. A combined utility statement may also include water or other services; isolate the electric portion before entering its total. Keep previous balances and posted payments separate from new service charges. Open the help text beside each field when a line's classification is unclear, then ask the provider to confirm it.

For insurance, start with the declarations or written proposal for the full term. Confirm whether premium already includes mandatory fees or recurring discounts. Keep a cash deductible separate from premium. Where a percentage deductible applies, obtain the applicable insured value and policy wording rather than treating the percentage as dollars.

What can I decide after using this?

A complete, reconciled result can help you choose your next investigation: resolve an unposted payment, ask about a changed charge, verify an estimated reading, obtain matching insurance terms, or revise your household budget. It cannot establish the cause of a charge, confirm a billing error, recommend a policy or guarantee savings. Annualization and daily comparisons are arithmetic conventions, not price predictions.

Sources and dates belong beside the result

The report labels your own document references and dates, highlights missing evidence, and compares your itemization with the printed total when provided. General resources below were checked on October 24, 2026; they are background guidance, not evidence for your particular bill or an independent verification of your entries.
